I feel like it was only yesterday that I said there was to be a collection from Alexa Chung for M&S coming in Spring.
On Thursday, the first looks were made available for viewing. I'm going to say it now that I find this very hit and miss. I do think that for the client base, it fits a lot better and I am not a M&S shopper so there you go. I do like the long navy trousers and the grey pleated skirt but then that yellow cardigan and vest is horrific. Lemon yellow is not a color that most skin tones can pull off. But that doesn't seem to worry Chung.
It's due on April 13th in store. The collection is a collaboration between Alexa Chung and the archive of M&S pieces. Most pieces are retailing between £30 to £100 with a total of 31 pieces. It remains to be seen if this will help M&S regain some of their customer base or appeal to a slightly younger woman.
Once again....that cardigan is horrific. It reminds me of the 90s and not in a good way. I see where she is going with the grey cardigan and all but to have it in such an awful color. Even the model looks a bit ill.
Lemon yellow is not a color for most.
